Mississauga man charged

OPP have nabbed an alleged drunk driver who they say was driving more than twice the speed limit on hwy 401 through Toronto.

Police say that at a little before 4 am Sunday, they started getting complaints about a speeding car heading east on the highway around Markham Rd.

An officer clocked a Porsche Cayenne going 233 km/h along the 401 near Whites Rd. The officer alerted colleagues who stopped the crossover vehicle at Brock Rd.

Calvin Williams of Mississauga is charged with dangerous, stunt and impaired driving, and driving with over 80 mgs of alcohol.

The stunt driving charge includes an automatic week-long licence suspension and car impoundment. The impaired driving charge also means Williams' licence will be suspended for three months.
