Police charge 19-year old with attemped murder

Randy Persaud is facing a total of 5 charges in connection to a Scarborough shooting

Police have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that happened early Sunday morning in the Morningside and Kingston Road area.

They say the 32 year old man's head was grazed by a bullet, and the act was targeted. This happened around 3:30 a.m.

Later in the evening, police say they arrested 19 year old Randy Persaud of Toronto.

He's facing 5 charges: attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a prohibited firearm, careless use of a firearm and weapons dangerous.

He has a court appearance Monday morning.

Police still want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
