Man Charged in Death of 4-year-old

Peel Regional Police have charged a 78-year old man with Careless Driving, Improper Turn and Fail to Yield to a Pedestrian after a four-year-old boy was hit and killed on November 20th.

It happened at 8:20a.m. as the young Mississauga boy was walking at the intersection of Artesian Drive and Southampton Drive.  Investigators say the boy was struck by a 2009 Toyota Corolla and died from his injuries after being rushed to a Toronto area trauma centre. 

78 year old Alvito Abreu will be in court in Brampton on January 30th.
