Man without vital signs after being struck by vehicle in Brampton

Peel Police say the man was struck on the sidewalk while walking his dog...

An elderly man is fighting for his life after being struck by a vehicle in Brampton on Tuesday afternoon.

The man was struck on the sidewalk, while walking his dog in the area around Linkdale Road and Centre Street.

Peel Police could only say paramedics were performing CPR while the man was en route to hospital.

The dog was killed.

The driver of the car remained at the scene and is co-operating with police.

Officers say it appears the man was struck by a car that was backing out of a driveway.
