Toronto man sentenced for historical sexual assaults

7 years in prison for a man convicted of sexaul assults in the 60's and 70's.

75 year old Michael Dimmick was found guilty this past summer of 12 counts of indecent assault and two counts of buggery.

The Toronto man learned his sentence on Wednesday.

He was once a hockey referee in Etobicoke and befriended the family of two young boys through hockey. Court heard that he would actually drive the children places, even going to the cottage with the family.

Two of the victims were brothers, and as young as 6 when the assaults began.
