The man who was found sleeping at Milliken Public School earlier this month has also been convicted of a violent robbery in the U.S.
21-year-old Liyao Chen stabbed a man 13 times in Brooklyn, New York in 2011. The victim was left at the side of the road.
Chen fled on the first day of the trial and was convicted in absentia.
He's now facing a 32-year sentence.
Chen was arrested in Toronto under the Extradition Act. He's now awaiting an extradition hearing to be brought back to the United States.
On December 5th, Chen refused to leave the school and was found to have drugs and cash on him. He was in the school before classes started.
