Despite icy and slippery conditions in town, things aren't too bad on the major roads and highways.
In fact, OPP says they're better than they were earlier in the day.
Sunday morning, things were pretty dicey on highways and ramps because of ice and slush build up. But now, they've been treated and have had lots of traffic pass over.
"Roadways are remarkably clear," says OPP Constable Graham Williamson, referring to the 400 series highways. "They're wet, we have some minor areas with a little bit of slush but the MTO has done a great job of clearing the highway and salting it."
He can't say the same for smaller roads. "The major problem is debris on the roadway," he says. Trees, branches and other debris are littered across municipal roads, closing some roads and making it difficult to get through.
Still, he's confident we'll weather the storm.
"We've never failed to get through this sort of thing before and I really don't anticipate too much trouble here."
