Police: Shots fired into Brampton home was a case of mistaken identity

A family was home when a shot was fired through the front window into the kitchen

Peel police are investigating after shots were fired into a home -- they think it was a case of mistaken identity.

A family was home early yesterday morning when they heard a bang... the home owner took a look around and found bullet holes in the front window and kitchen wall. This was on Pompano Place near The Gore and Ebenezer Roads.

Police say they think the shooter believed the family was related to a suspect in a homicide they're investigating.
