Quebec Man charged after crashing into OPP cruiser

Provincial Police have charged a 33 year old man from Quebec, after a woman was found at the side of the 401 near Cambridge.

The man was arrested on Wednesday morning after being spotted driving the wrong way on the 401 westbound near highway 6.

After speaking with an officer, Police say the man tried to get away, ramming a marked cruiser.

33 year old Derek Carroll has been charged with attempted murder, and attempting to disarm a police officer.

The identity of the victim hasn't been revealed, but cops say she's in hospital with serious injuries. However, she is expected to live.
