Mayor Rob Ford will be receiving an award Friday morning.

One he didn't expect, and probably doesn't want.

The American politics website Talking Points Memo will be at Toronto city hall to present the mayor with the 'Golden Duke Award' for Best Scandal in 2013.

A release issued Thursday, says the website has tried to contact the mayor without success, but will hold a press conference at city hall Friday at 8:30 a.m.

The site says Ford 'won' the award in four categories, something it says is unprecedented in the 7-year history of the awards.
