Hot Dogs found in off-leash, east end park
Police remove the wieners, but still not clear if they are 'tainted'...
1 0

Police are warning dog owners to be on alert, after suspicious wieners turned up in a park in the city's East End.

The hot dog weiners were reported around 11:30 on Friday morning, and police did go to the park to collect them.

They say it's still unclear as to if any of the hot dogs were even eaten, or if they are tainted with anything.

Constable Wendy Drummond with Toronto Police tells Newstalk1010, that they have yet to receive any reports of any dogs becoming ill.

If they are being cautious, they have good reason.

It was back in September, that hot dogs tainted with pills were discovered in an east end park near Danforth and Greenwood.

In October, in the west end of the city, 'tainted' beef patties were found in an off leash dog park near Wellington and King West.

In all cases, no arrests have been made.
