Man shot at east-end strip plaza

It happened near Victoria Park Ave. and Lawrence Ave.

Police are investigating a shooting in the city's east-end, Friday morning.

Around 2:30, police were called to a bar located in a strip plaza on Victoria Park Avenue, just south of Lawrence Avenue.

A man in his 20's was shot in the abdomen and rushed to hospital.

EMS told NewsTalk 1010 he did not have any vital signs at first, but Toronto police say his injuries are serious but not considered life-threatening.

There's no word on any possible suspects.
