UPDATE: Pedestrian killed in city's west end

A woman was pronounced dead at the scene

A pedestrian was killed in the Eglinton Avenue and Dufferin area, Sunday evening.

It was around 10 p.m. when a 39-year old woman was struck by a vehicle on Eglinton Ave. at Northcliffe Blvd. She was attempting to make it across at a crosswalk.

Toronto EMS say she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 19 year old driver remained at the scene and there's no word if charges are pending.

Police want to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
