Kathleen Wynne wants to you know that pork from Ontario is safe to eat.
The premier made the assurances after news of an outbreak of a deadly virus amongst pigs, at a farm in Middlesex.
The porcine epidemic diarrhea virus killed millions of pigs in the United States.
Wynne says there are no reports of the virus anywhere else but says there is no quarantine in place at the affected farm. She underlines "every precaution is being taken" to make sure it doesn't spread. Wynne says the virus is "highly infectious."
The province is now working with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Canadian pork producers.
