It could be a dicey weekend, especially on the roads in and around Toronto.

About 5-10cms of snow is expected to fall on Friday night into Saturday morning, but the biggest problem will be the wind.

CTV's weather anchor, Tom Brown told Newstalk1010, that areas further north, like Barrie and Orillia into Cottage Country, as much as 15cms of snow this weekend.

Another 2-4 centimetres is due for Saturday morning, followed by a mix of sun and cloud but continuing very windy and the winds will shift from southwest in the morning to northwest so the temperature will fall from minus 4 in the morning to minus 8 in the afternoon.

At this point it looks like as much as 5 centimetres of snow is possible Sunday.

Brown says we're not out of the woods when it comes to this type of weather either.

"We are still less than half our seasonal snow average. So far, we're at 49cms for the year and normally we get 115 in Toronto".
