One dead after collision on QEW in Niagara Falls

Two others were taken to hospital

One person is dead and two others are in hospital following a crash Monday night on a highway through Niagara Falls, Ont.
Just after 8 p.m., the driver of a car lost control and hit a guardrail on the Queen Elizabeth Way (near McLeod Road).
Provincial police say two men were ejected from the car and one of them was struck by a passing vehicle that failed to remain at the scene.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the second man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A third person in the car (a female driver) had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.
The OPP is looking for the vehicle that failed to stay at the scene and is asking for witnesses to come forward.
