Two others were taken to hospital

One person is dead and two others are in hospital following a crash Monday night on a highway through Niagara Falls, Ont.

Just after 8 p.m., the driver of a car lost control and hit a guardrail on the Queen Elizabeth Way (near McLeod Road).

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the second man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

A third person in the car (a female driver) had to be extricated from the vehicle and was taken to hospital by air ambulance with life-threatening injuries.

The OPP is looking for the vehicle that failed to stay at the scene and is asking for witnesses to come forward.
