Justin Bieber turns himself in to Toronto Police to face assault charge Jan. 29
Another run-in with the law for Justin Bieber.
A chartered plane carrying the pop star and some friends, was held up by authorities for several hours Friday at New Jersey's Teterboro Airport.
There was reportedly a strong smell of marijuana wafting from the plane after it touched down from Pearson.
The plane was searched while Bieber and his entourage questioned. It doesn't appear that any drugs were found. Bieber and friends have reportedly left the airport, though the plane is still on the tarmac.
Toronto Police charged Bieber with assault on Wednesday for an alleged attack on a limo driver in December. Investigators say the 19-year-old hit the driver repeatedly in the back of the head during a ride from a downtown nightclub to a hotel in late December.
Bieber's lawyers say he's innocent.
The pop star is also facing criminal charges in Miami, accused of driving under the influence of pot and prescription medication and without a valid licence.
Meanwhile the LA County District Attorney is reviewing a case that includes an accusation that Bieber egged his neighbour's house causing $20, 000 in damage.
