Pickering Man arrested on Attempted Murder charges

Peel police found the accused in a Brampton motel

Peel Police have arrested a man on attempted murder charges.

Friday morning, police attended a motel on Steelwell Road in Brampton before engaging in a foot pursuit with Dwayne Locksley Campbell a 34 year old man before he was caught.

Back on December 14th, 2013, Peel police were called to Throne Banquet Hall in Brampton where they arrived to find a man suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim suffered life threatening injuries, but he is expected to recover.

Campbell has been charged wth Attempted Murder, Careless Use of a Firearm, Breach of Firearm Prohibition, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking and Resisting Arrest.

He'll appear in court Saturday.
