Dad charged with murder of 6-year-old daughter

Toronto Police have charged a dad with murder in the death of his six-year-old daughter.

Evangeline Adotey was found in "obvious distress" Monday at a Howard Johnson, near Warden Ave and Hwy 401.

Evangeline, along with her brother and father were rushed from the scene by ambulance with unspecified injuries. Evangeline was pronounced dead in hospital.

A post-mortem on Evangeline's body proved inconclusive. Toxicology tests were ordered to help pinpoint the cause of her death.

Jason Adotey is charged with first degree murder and attempted murder.
