TSA adds more restrictions to carry-on luggage

includes all liquids, gels, aerosols and powders

New, unspecified threats have resulted in new restrictions for Americans heading to Russia.

Thursday, the US Transportation Security Administration banned all liquids, gels, aerosols and powders for carry-ons for passengers heading to the Sochi Games.

The TSA made the move in the wake of potential security threats targeting the Winter Games.

Wednesday, the TSA banned toothpaste tubes in carry on luggage citing non-specific terrorist threats.

It's not clear if the ban will only be in place during the games, or whether it is indefinite.
