Tories want Liberal, NDP tax pledge

PCs say no one in the province wants new taxes

The Tories want the NDP and Liberals to sign a pledge to promise no new gas taxes, business taxes or payroll taxes.

Progressive Conservative finance critic MPP Vic Fedeli stresses that doesn't mean he's not on board for transit expansion. He says the province will be able to find the $2 billion it needs annually to fund Metrolinx's Big Move plan within its budget without having to tax people.

Fedeli says not one person in his party's public consultations has said they want to pay higher taxes.

He calls the Liberals out of touch.
