UPDATE: Wolf of Sochi was a Jimmy Kimmel stunt
US athlete spots what looks like a wolf in hallway
2 0

Late night TV host and prankster Jimmy Kimmel has done it again.

On Wednesday, US luger Kate Hansen tweeted a video of "wolf" roaming the halls of her hotel in Sochi. "Oh my god", an off camera female voice whispers while filming through a cracked-open door.

Sceptics scoffed at the video, saying the animal looked more like a dog than a wolf.  Still, Hansen's post was retweeted over 2, 200 times, the attached video viewed over a million times.

A publicist for the United States Luge Association tells TV tabloid Inside Edition that it was a all a Kimmel-orchestrated stunt.

Kimmel tweeted late Thursday afternoon:

Kimmel was also behind one of the biggest Internet pranks of 2013. He hired a stunt woman to "twerk" upside-down against a door in what looked like an amateur video. When someone opened the door, the woman fell onto a table with lit candles and her pants appeared to catch fire.

The video, "Worst Twerk Fail EVER - Girl Catches On Fire!" racked up nine million views before Kimmel revealed it was a hoax.

That likely isn't a wolf. It looks more like a husky or some other type of sled dog.
