Elderly couple tied up with electrical wire in Ajax home invasion

Police in Durham Region are looking for three men after a horrifying ordeal for an elderly couple in Ajax.

Durham Regional Police say three suspects with handguns ran into a home Tuesday afternoon before 3 p.m. and tied up the homeowners with electrical wire.

For the next 90 minutes investigators say the men "ransacked" the home over the next 90 minutes and got away with computers and electronics.

Both homeowners were able to free themselves and call police.

They were not injured.

Police are trying to determine if the thieves were actually trying to target someone else.

Police describe the first suspect as male, black with a light complexion, about six feet tall with medium to large build. He is described as muscular with a goatee.

Police say the second suspect is believed to be male, black, about 5'11 with a slim build. The final suspect is described as: male, black, with short curly hair.
