Province investigating daycare death

Education ministry officials are looking into things

The province is conducting an investigation after a baby died at an unlicensed daycare in Toronto.

The four-month-old boy died on February 14th.

Education Minister Liz Sandals says the preliminary investigation shows there have been no complaints regarding this daycare.

Both the province and police are conducting an investigation but it's not yet known how the boy died.

While in London for an announcement, Premier Kathleen Wynne says her heart goes out to the baby's family.

She points to legislation tabled by the province to change the laws surrounding unlicensed daycares.

This is the fourth death of an infant in seven months at an unlicensed daycare.
