A man was sent to hospital on Monday afternoon, after falling onto the subway tracks at the Eglinton station.

The elderly man was reportedly on a mobility scooter and fell over the edge, but luckily wasn't struck by a train.

That forced TTC officials to shut down the Yonge line between Bloor and Lawrence for a short period in the afternoon.

EMS reports the man wasn't seriously injured.
