BC ticket takes $50-million Lotto Max jackpot on fifth draw for big prize

There is one winning ticket for the $50-million jackpot in Friday night's Lotto Max draw - and it was purchased somewhere in British Columbia.
   
The giant jackpot had gone unclaimed for four previous draws.
   
Also up for grabs last night were 50 MaxMillions prizes of $1-million each, and claims are being made on 17 of them.

There are winners scattered across Ontario, including in Brampton, Kitchener and Ottawa.

In Burlington and Mississauga, there are tickets worth $500,000. As well as smaller winners in Toronto, Barrie and Oakville.
   
The jackpot for next Friday's draw will be approximately $43-million.
