UPDATE: Police identify victim of 13th homicide of the year
33-year-old Kareem Francis was found with no vital signs at community housing building

Toronto Police have identified the man killed in the city's 13th homicide of the year as 33-year-old Kareem Francis. 

Officers were called to a community housing building at 219 Broadview Ave., between Dundas and Queen streets, around 4 a.m. Saturday for a loud fight.

When they arrived, they found Francis inside a unit with no vital signs.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

At the scene, Det Sgt Graham Gibson told reporters they believe it was a stabbing.

34-year-old Lerone Marcano has been charged with second-degree-murder and is scheduled to appear in court on Sunday morning.
