Police lay charges in weekend murder

A Toronto man is facing charges in connection to the fatal stabbing near Lawrence Ave. & Markham Rd.

Police have laid charges in connection to a fatal stabbing in Scarborough on Saturday.

Officers were called to the Markham Bar & Grill on Lawrence Ave, west of Markham Rd, at about 12:20 a.m.

When they arrived, they found the body of 28-year-old Masud Khalif.

Police say he was stabbed in the parking lot after a fight or argument broke out in the bar.

Anthony Rosales of Toronto has been charged with second-degree murder.

He has a court appearance on Monday at 10 a.m.
