A familiar face will be entering the race for mayor of Toronto.
In a release, Sarah Thomson says she will be running for the job and filing her papers Thursday morning at 8:30.
Thomson ran for mayor in the 2010 municipal election, but dropped out and threw her support behind then-candidate George Smitherman.
In 2011, Thomson had hoped to win a bid in Trinity-Spadina for the Liberals in the provincial election, but lost.
Thomson made headlines last March when she accused Mayor Rob Ford of groping her at a CJPAC Action Party. Mayor Ford, has denied the allegations repeatedly.
The other candidates running for mayor include John Tory, Olivia Chow, Karen Stintz, David Soknacki and Mayor Rob Ford who is seeking re-election.
The municipal election takes place on October 27.
