UPDATE: Body of missing Toronto teacher found

49 year old Douglas Queen went missing on Monday...

The body of a public school teacher has been found in Humber Bay.

49 year old Douglas Queen was last seen on Monday morning at 8:30 in an area near College Street and Brock Avenue.

Toronto Police had set up a command post through the early part of the week at Humber Bay Park, but that post was taken down on Thursday.

They expanded their search, however, using the marine unit to comb the waters of Lake Ontario in the western part of the city.

The body was found around 5 o'clock on Thursday afternoon.

Officers had even turned to twitter, sending out the message, "Doug, if you see this, if you read this, pls call ur home, or pls call me direct 416-808-1114. We all care."

Toronto District School Board spokesperson Ryan Bird would only say that Queen was a music teacher at Brock Public School near Lansdowne and College.

The school board would not confirm reports that Queen had been working from home after running into trouble at school.

This is the second teacher to have gone missing in 2014. Police in Durham Region have only been able to find the shoe worn by Jeffrey Boucher.
