CAA sees 30 percent spike in service calls in December and January


Looks like the cold winter affected more than just your hit your car pretty hard too.

New numbers out  Friday from the CAA say in the Southern and Central Ontario region they saw a 30 percent increase in service calls in December and January compared to the beginning of last winter.

CAA dealt with more than half a million calls for service during those two months including more than 206, 000 tows and replaced more than 13, 000 batteries.

On January 3rd the CAA took an all-time record 9500 calls, about triple the number it responds to on a normal day.
