WATCH: Liberals meet over the weekend in Toronto

Wynne expected to rally the troops on Saturday

Around a thousand Liberal party faithful are meeting in Toronto this weekend, with a specific focus on gearing up for a possible election campaign.

The party is holding several closed-door workshops on fundraising, community engagement and campaign strategy.

However despite the agenda of the annual meeting, Labour Minister Yasir Naqvi stresses they will be focusing on economic-centred discussions.

Although Naqvi admits a minority government always has to be ready for an election.

Premier Kathleen Wynne kicked off the annual event with a fundraising dinner, underlining she has the "safe hands" to continue to lead the province, calling opposition parties "reckless".

Naqvi denies that implies she's bland. He calls her exciting with a fresh leadership style that connects with voters.

Any chance the funds raised will be paid back to the citizens of Ontario to reduce the money they stole?

They've stolen $ 1 Billion, lied for 10 years, completely mismanaged Ontario, put us into debit 5X that of California, yet they keep getting re-elected.

This is the material the late night shows should be playing, the complete stupidity of Ontario voters keeping the Liberals in power.

A Liberal premier voted in by a Liberal party. This is democracy at its' most ridiculous and in no way reflects the will of the people.

@Scrappy she is not the premier we did not vote for her therefore all the stuff she did should not be allowed to be put into law .

      @Scrappy LOL.....only in Ontario
*The NDP, Liberals and Bloc? tried to bypass democracy by joining up to take down Harper/Conservatives a few years ago.....even though that back-fired
*Dalton McGuinty runs Ontario into the ground, but like any pompous dictator, instead of having people vote for another premiere, he passes the torch to an unelected official- who on the surface talks a good game about holding elections, but who's actions tell a whole other story that its a fat chance one will be held anytime soon
*City Council voting to rob Rob Ford of his powers. Instead of waiting for the next municipal election to decide his fate, or waiting for the law to run its course, they instead "pull-out" too quick, and decide to neuter his position instead.

These reason are probably why many people are moving to Alberta- less drama.

I hope Wynne can delay an election until the end of May. That way I and my co-workers will have our paid time off to help her stay in power. You cons and dips have no chance of beating us. We have the time, the money, and the power to keep the Liberals in power. There are so many of us and so few of you who are organized.

My advice to the rest of Ontario is to just give up. Keep working my friends. We will need all the money we can possibly get to keep things running smoothly.

Do not F with us my friends.
