Province honours late skier

Names highway after Sarah Burke

The province is naming a highway north of Barrie after late skier Sarah Burke.

Burke died after a training exercise two years ago.

The 24 km stretch of Highway 93 running through Simcoe County will now be known as the Sarah Burke Memorial Highway.

Burke grew up in the area. The freestyle skier was 29 when she died.
