27-year old Toronto man charged with first-degree murder

Toronto Police have arrested and charged 27-year old Thanh Tung Phan with the murder of Peter Nguyen

Toronto Police have made an arrest in connection with the death of a man who was gunned down along an uptown street.

27-year old Thanh Tung Phan of Toronto is charged with First-Degree Murder and two counts of Criminal Harassment.

He is accused of firing the gun that killed 26-year old Peter Nguyen.

Nguyen died on a night in early February, in the Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue area.

Witnesses reported seeing police officers in uniform and regular clothing at the scene not long after he was found bleeding on the sidewalk.

Phan was arrested in the early-morning on Thursday.

His first court appearance was scheduled for later in the day.
