A man is trapped by a piece of earth moving equipment near Spadina and St Clair.

Toronto EMS tell Newstalk1010, the call came in at 12:49, and say the man's injuries are serious.

He is conscious and breathing.

But it's being called a 'difficult extraction' so EMS officials couldn't say when he would be freed.

The area where it happened was called a 'small work site'.
