Durham Regional Police say more than 20 people were arrested in overnight raids that went into Thursday morning.

The warrants were issued as a part of a guns and drugs investigation dubbed 'Project Wheeler' and were carried out with the help of police forces from across the Greater Toronto Area.

Authorities say three guns were seized, along with drugs and cash.

Investigators did not offer any more details.

Police say more information will be released as it becomes available.
