Arrests made after teen forced into prostitution

Police think there may be more victims of the three accused suspects

Police have laid charges against three people accused of forcing a 17 year old girl into prostitution, and they think there could be more victims.

Police allege that two men and a woman assaulted, threatened and forced the 17-year-old girl into it, and took her to hotels in Mississauga and Scarborough.

She was kept against her will and guarded in the the rooms, as well as robbed of all her personal belongings.

The Sex Crimes unit began their investigation on March 28 after information they received.

30-year-old Michael Campbell, 23-year-old Timothy Hewton, and 20-year-old Serena Timbury Welcome, of Toronto are facing charges and appeared in court April 14.

They face numerous charges, including trafficking in persons and living on the avails of prostitution.
