WATCH: Budget to be tabled on May 1st
Finance announced the date on Tuesday afternoon
2 0

The Province's Finance Minister has set the date: he will be tabling his budget on May 1st.

Charles Sousa made the announcement Tuesday afternoon at Queen's Park.

Sousa made the proclamation after a series of budget-like announcements over recent weeks, from transit funding plans to money for in-vitro fertilization.

The minority Liberals will need the NDP's help to get this budget passed but it's expected the government will topple, sending the province into an election campaign.

The Progressive Conservatives have already said they would not support the budget.
