Wynne launches $2 million libel suit against Tories

Premier sues over email deletion allegations

After a cease and desist letter and a libel notice, the Premier has decide to sue the Tories for their allegations that Kathleen Wynne oversaw the email deletion in the as plant scandal.

Wynne is asking for $2 million.

Progressive Conservative leader Tim Hudak is the target of the suit, along with Tory energy critic Lisa MacLeod, the party itself and the Ontario PC Fund.

MacLeod alleges the premier is being malicious and is preventing politicians from doing their job.

She says if the premier was doing this out of principle, she would have said so.

Wynne's office says any damages that the Premier gets will be given to charity.

These allegations have not been proven in court.

@tanjo But Hudak thinks he's in a crap game.
... and he has only one die and no chance of winning.

Hudak & MacLeod should apologize because what they said for the cameras was outside of the Provincial Parliament. Otherwise they should pay and Wynne should donate the money to a charity the PCs don't like

That's it? That's your whole overage? Seven lines of print?

For the third time in five days, the Premier has refused to attend Question Period. No mention here or anywhere else. Why is there no media coverage on that?

The premiers brother-in-law is appointed interim CEO of eHealth and one of your top stories is: Panhandling Police Officers!

I wonder why they call it the "liberal media"

Wynne's rputation is worth what - $.03?. Hope Hudak and co get advice from Ford as to how to make this bully tactic lawsuit go away. and get Wynne to pay hi slegal bills.

@don was right Rob Ford made the Daniel Dale lawsuit go away by admitting that he had no grounds for saying what he said and issuing a full apology.

... or they let it go to court and we will find out who is lying and who is not.
    2. G Man posted on 04/17/2014 08:56 AM
@tanjo I think 'don was right' was referring to the lawsuit by the owner of a restaurant on the Beaches, a case which Rob Ford won.
    3. tanjo posted on 04/17/2014 05:09 PM
@G Man Ooooh THAT one. Isn't that being appealed now?

Wynne became leader of the Liberal Party on January 26, 2013.
Access to the computers were granted for between Feb. 6 and March 20.
The deletion occurred on February 6 and 7, 2013.

So the question is - who was in charge when the e-mails were deleted.
    1. Your Responder posted on 04/15/2014 10:05 PM
@Walter Karl Burgin did it (from his basement).

@Your Responder I KNEW IT! Karl is a closet Liberal! All of his posts here are just a clever front!

@Walter Wynne was not sworn in as Premier until Feb. 11. She maintains no one wiped computer hard drives after this date. The OPP investigator testified at a legislator committee hearing that David Livingston was being investigated not Wynne. Hudak and MacLeod said publicly otherwise hence the lawsuit.

@Your Responder 1.> You give me too much credit. I do not have the time or the interest to pull something like that off
2.> Unlike yourself, I spend more time in the outside world interacting with people, than you try to interact with people on the outside from the confines of your Pentium 3.

      Upgrade yourself buddy

@tanjo Don't even joke about that. I'd you accuse me of being a closet NDP, or even a closet-Green hippie than a closet-Liberal.

How dare you tanjo- how dare you ;p

@Karl Burgin I sincerely apologize for jumping to conclusions regarding Mr. Burgin. It was an emotional response based on incomplete and unverified facts placed before me and I should have moderated my response accordingly.

@Karl Burgin "outside world" and "interacting with people" (???)

Between your posted "interactions" on this site and your own submissions, it looks like you are a part time computer technician somewhere west of Toronto and you have a degree from the University of Toronto.

So, the bottom line is you probably have a useless education from the biggest education factory in Canada that got you exactly nothing but debt, and a certificate (not even a diploma?) from one of Ontario's mediocre community colleges, all of which entitles you to change computer parts on a bench.

Considering all of that it's no surprise that you have so much time on your hands to post your silliness on here so often.

@Your Responder As much as you think u know me, clearly you don't.
Be that as it may, we've just established the following:

My job beats yours as a McDonald's cook
My education beats your Grade 6 level comprehension
My lowly college and university beats your primary home schooling.

And in the words of our esteemed mayor, Anything else ?

@Karl Burgin Thank you for responding, have become Ontario's Andrew Shirvell and need to get a grip...get help before this delusional Mayor thing destroys your life.

So, who won at the Congress Centre, you or Donny? you told him to name a time and place which he promised to give him that thrashing (?) but you do sound like a sissy coward.

@Karl Burgin You can only dream to have attained my education (from formal schooling, travel, business ownership, street sense and maturity.).
Go swap a video card and make yourself feel like you accomplished something today.
If and when you ever grow up and dry out behind your ears, let me know. I can use someone to sweep floors in one of my buildings.
It looks like a janitorial position would be a step up from your daily activities, would provide you with real work and probably pay more too.

@Your Responder 1.) yawn...been there, done that. As I said, you know nothing about me. So if u think i'm threatens by the likes of you, hate to burst your little
2.) you are just like your typical posse friends that troll around here. Turning a topic in personal attacks, in which the topic suddenly becomes about me.

Get a clue, and come up with a new type of attack. The same old line, and the same old method dies get boring after seeing the same thing so many times.

Good luck at McDonald's friend. When you go on your manager's trip to Quebec for a promotion, please let me know. I will be sure to congratulate you on your next stepping stone in life.

this is a good experience for Tim and Lisa. sometimes people get over anxious they think they have the plot signed and sealed in their minds and hurl out accusations of criminal activity to try and gain an edge. except at this level it can come back to bite them. I see 2 options. apologize and look like fools or if you believe in what you said then let the process take its course and provide proof.

The premier has 'way' too much time on her hands. Kathleen Wynne needs someone to give her munch on.
