UPDATE: Cyclist dies in crash with transport truck
Peel Regional Police are investigating after a deadly crash between a man on a bicycle and a transport truck

A man is dead after a crash in Mississauga.

The collision happened just after 9:00am Thursday, near the intersection of Dixie and Derry Roads.

A transport truck collided with a bicycle.

Paramedics say the man on the bike was pronounced dead on the scene.

No one else was hurt.

There are no details yet on who the victim is or what caused the crash.

Peel Regional Police are investigating.

The area is near Pearson Airport and is a major corridor for transport trucks.

    Another dead cyclist......killed by again another truck......when will the carnage stop?
    This time perhaps an example will be made.....truckers drive like they own the road....it's very scary!

      @Shirley “Roads are built for buses, cars and trucks. Not for people on bikes. And my heart bleeds for them when I hear someone gets killed, but it’s their own fault at the end of the day.”
