Toronto Raptor centre Jonas Valanciunas was not in court in Collingwood to face charges of drunk driving.

The 21 year old was picked up by Provincial Police back at the beginning of April when he was allegedly spotted with open beer bottles through a drive thru.

His lawyer was in court today for the brief, 2 minute appearance, and he asked for more evidence and more time, so the case has been put over until May 27th.

Valanciunas will be in the Raptors lineup when they take on the Brooklyn Nets at the Air Canada Centre in game two of their first round playoff series on Tuesday evening.

The Raptors lost game one of the seven game series.
