This isn't the most pleasant of ways to wake-up.

A woman found a snake in her apartment bathroom early Tuesday morning. It was about 45 centimetres in length.

The woman called 9-1-1 around 3 a.m. and when police arrived at the building on Rowena Drive (near Victoria Park Ave. and Ellesmere Rd), they got hold of it. Toronto Animal Services was then notified and the snake is in their possession.

Police think the snake may have been in the building's drainage system, and somehow found its' way into the woman's bathroom.
