The RCMP have confirmed to Newstalk1010 that the Ottawa Paramedic Services attended 24 Sussex Drive on the weekend.

Reports indicate a young woman was taken from the official residence of the Prime Minister, and may have been suffering from alcohol poisoning.

A spokesperson for the RCMP says "This was a medical call and  not a police matter. It did not involve any of our protectees."

Reports indicate that Prime Minister Harper's son, Ben turned 18 on the weekend and was celebrating at the house.

It's unclear as to if the PM or his wife was home at the time.

Legal drinking age in Ontario is 19, but just across the border from Ottawa in Gatineau, the drinking age is a year younger at 18.

The Prime Minister's Office responded to a request for information only with "we have nothing to add to your story."

Our sister station, CTV News, got a hold of a recording of the EMS dispatch call. Listen:

those CON negative ads against Trudeau and the children of the country. kind of ironic since it seems everyone is getting wasted at the PM's home

@fernando "everyone" is a superlative which is improperly used and implied in the case of one stupid little drunk girl. Language is important. Use it correctly.

Harper and his band started to sing Hey Jude, so everyone at the party tried to kill to commit suicide.

First, let's hope the girl is okay.

Second, kids are going to be stupid sometimes. At least give them credit for doing the right thing and not putting their friend's safety at risk by trying to cover it up.

I wonder if she arrived like that or got like that when she arrived. I have never gotten to that state but maybe it takes a small probably time between the last drink a person had and passing out ? Hope she didn't drive there !!

@Me Speaking as a formerly young woman, it is very easy for the inexperienced drinker to imbibe too much unknowingly. Idle speculation about the circumstances is irrelevant gossip.
