Toronto Police Warn Women about Suspicious Incident

Police say man caught on surveillance entering women's washroom.

Toronto Police are issuing a warning to women in the Keele Street and Lawrence Avenue West area after a man was caught on surveillance entering the women’s washroom in a department store in the area.  Investigators say it happened back on February 8th at 8:25p.m. but security just recently contacted police.

After the man entered the women’s washroom several women, some with children, were seen entering and exiting the washroom.  Eventually the man left the washroom and was seen looking at his phone.

Toronto Police believe the man may have been taking photos inside the women’s washroom with his phone and are warning women to be on alert.

The suspect is described as white, 30-35 years old, 5’10”, and medium build, unshaven wearing a black toque, a dark-coloured jacket and blue jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-1200, Crime Stoppers anonymously at 416-222-TIPS(8477), or online at
