UPDATE: Three people arrested in connection with stabbing in Brampton
Homicide detectives with Peel Regional Police are investigating after a man stabbed early Monday morning died of his injuries

Three people are in custody and will be charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Brampton on Monday morning.

This comes after Peel Regional Police confirmed the man who had been fighting for life after an early-morning stabbing in Brampton has died.

Around 1:00am Monday, 43-year old Rupie Budhu was found with multiple stab wounds in front of a home on Skyvalley Drive, near The Gore Road and Castlemore Road.

Paramedics took him to hospital but doctors were not able to save his life.

Police say some sort of altercation broke out at the residence before Budhu's body was found.

Cst. Lily Fitzpatrick was not able to say whether Budhu lives at the residence but says he was driven there by a taxi not long before he was stabbed.

Officers are not looking for any more suspects.

Homicide detectives are investigating.

Anyone who has information is asked to call Peel Regional Police or Crime Stoppers.
