What was that?

Twitter lit up late Sunday afternoon with people clamouring for answers about something streaking across the eastern sky.

Reports of sightings came in from Toronto, Oshawa, Oakville, Peterborough, Niagara, even western New York. Some witnesses also say they saw a flash and heard a boom.

Nicole Kelly was walking near Eglinton Ave E and Victoria Park Ave around 4:15 pm and happened to look up.

"It was like this little, small ball of fire that was coming down and it looked like it hit the clouds...and then it kinda disappeared."

Many witnesses are calling what they saw a meteor. There has been no official confirmation and no reports of anything hitting the ground.
