Police say a 24-year-old woman has died in hospital after three vehicles collided

A 24-year-old woman who was injured in a fiery crash on Hwy 400 has died in hospital.

Police say three vehicles were involved in a collision in the northbound lanes near Hwy 9 early Saturday morning.

It started with a minor accident between two vehicles that then pulled over to the side. OPP Sgt Kerry Schmidt says a Dodge Ram then crashed into the two stationary ones. 

Two of the vehicles burst into flames. 

Four people were taken to hospital.

A 24-year-old woman who was a passenger in one of the stationary vehicles had critical injuries and died Saturday evening. She has been identified as Lindsay Martin of Adjala-Tosorontio.
