Canadian Soldier facing 7 new charges

Cpl Derrick Gallagher has now been charged with 35 counts in a sexual assault investigation...

More charges for a soldier at CFB Petawawa.

Cpl. Derrick Gallagher, is facing seven new charges of sexual assault, breaking and entering and voyeurism.

Provincial Police say there are now 16 confirmed victims, but they are worried there could possibly be more.

Officers say the potential victims may have been drugged and might not even be aware they were assaulted.

He's now facing a total of 35 charges, after being originally arrested on March 31st in connection with an investigation that dates back to 2007.

The 31 year old joined the military in December of 2005, and served with Canadian forces in Afghanistan from September of 2008 to April of 2009.

    I think it is high time we figure out a punishment for sexual offenders across the board!

    Sorta reminds me of the Russel Williams thing, except this guy was just a soldier, not in command of anything. Plus, I don't think he killed any of his victims. But, it's possible he could have graduated to that if he didn't get caught.
