Man suffers minor injuries after a piece of a billboard falls downtown

Crews checking to see if the rest of the signs are secure..

A man was sent to hospital only as a precaution, after being hit by a small piece of a billboard that fell from above the Eaton Centre.

The call came into Toronto Police at 11:33, and they say the man had originally refused medical treatment, but a security guard insisted he be taken to hospital.

The problematic billboard was an advertisement for H&M.

Crews are now checking to make sure all the signage is secure.
