Toddler critical after near-drowning in York Region

Stouffville boy is breathing with a pulse in hospital

A toddler is in critical condition in hospital after nearly drowning in Stouffville.

The 21-month-old boy was found in some water at the bottom of a pool the family is building at their home.

York Regional Police were called to the home near Tenth Line and Main Street around 5:30 Monday afternoon.

The toddler's parents were home at the time.  At last check, the boy was breathing with a pulse.  Foul play isn't suspected.
